Logan Marconi’s paintings explore themes of existence and spirituality, particularly the ways faith, death, and ritual shape existence. His symbolic use of landscapes invoke mysticism and contemplative silence through strong use of illumination and suggestion of geometry with natural forms. Tree limbs arranged triangularly manifest an immaterial mountain, a circle of charred tree stumps become pillars of permanence as light materializes. Such images create tension yet point to renewal as the spiritual and physical worlds overlap. Philosophically, Logan is concerned with the capacity of artistic practices to be revelatory and transformative.
